Havelock House has long been renowned in the Nairn and Inverness area as a restaurant, offering an excellent menu prepared from local ingredients. The heart of the Havelock is its bar under the personal and friendly supervision of owners Andy and Lynn Burnett. Integral to that are the meals available all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Havelock has wonderful views over the Moray Firth and takes full advantage of its position with the provision of a large outside decking and seating area, perfect for eating alfresco or enjoying a drink on sultry summer days and balmy summer evenings

The Bar at Havelock House is large and spacious, combining old world charm and modern facilities. The warm, welcoming atmosphere ensures we are popular with both locals and tourists and our weekly pub quiz is always very well attended. We offer a wide selection of draught beers, real ale and, of course, malt whiskies.

Our popular bar menu is renowned for its selection of steaks and home-made pies and we also offer a wide choice of vegetarian dishes. Bar lunches are served daily. Locally sourced daily specials. There is a children's menu and a serve-yourself salad bar.

Henry's is our new concept Coffee Shop and Bistro with alfresco dining on our veranda / decking. We offer a secure environment for families along with fresh home-baking, organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance coffee.  There is FREE Wi-Fi for our clientele.

The Havelock was built in 1857 and was originally owned by his Excellency the Emir of Jaipur and was his summer residence during his exile in the "Red Year" – the Indian sepoy mutiny of 1857. The house was named by him after General Sir Henry Havelock, the only Englishman ever to lead a Scottish Regiment.
